A U.S. Navy flight demonstration team Blue Angels jet has crashed while performing at a flight demonstration at Marine Corps Air Station Air Show in Beaufort Saturday afternoon. The jet probably is an F/A-18, which is the usual mount of the Bue Angels. The jet had crashed into a neighborhood of homes after clipping power lines, and casualities are reported on ground (8) while the pilot is reported to have died. The incident took place moments before the finale of the show. Other jets have landed unscathed. The Navy is yet to release a detailed response. An investigation is underway.

The Blue Angels are the US Navy’s hallmark air demonstration team, renowned worldwide for their precision flight demonstrations. The pilots chosen are highly skilled and dedicated tactical jet drivers with over 1000+ flying hours under their belt. The loss of such a flyer indeed is regretted.

Autumn Leaves from Microsoft Windows Vista Photo Collection

Nothing like a bright sunny morning. Sri Lanka has woken up at last it seems. For the better part of this week it looked like weekend. We sure like holidays.

On my way to office I see a cat and a mouse. The mousehall is near a neighboring gate, so I see him run in carrying something once in a while: perhaps a stolen cake of soap? On top of the street is a cat, curled up and in deep thought looking into a gutter through concrete covers. I wonder what he’s thinking about. V said he must be thinking about War. Mom said he must’ve seen a mouse in the gutter. Lucky cat.

I feel so too.

Soyuz LV in downtown Baikonur by galexian

Today’s Sandi’s birthday. Happy birthday Sandi, and thanks for everything [like helping me mess up my trousers etc. don't look now!]. I enjoy all the fun stuff you and Bud talk distracting the engineers and all [but I wonder whether diligent D ever is touched]. Actually I still don’t see whether your engineer took the right decision, ha ha, just joking.

Just wanted to say happy birthday and post this beautiful picture of the Soyuz rocket.
